The Chieftain of the 2010 West Lothian Highland Games is Provost Tom Kerr.
"It is a great honour to be asked to be Chieftain of West Lothian Highland Games, which is without doubt among the best events of its kind in the country.
I have been to the games on numerous occasions, and they are incredibly popular with visitors from West Lothian and further afield. The games offer a blend of spectacle and fun for people of all ages, and are one of the high points on the summer calendar in West Lothian.
I have lived in West Lothian my whole life and I am very aware of the importance of the games to a large number of local people. The games rightfully have a special place in the heart of many, and I hope they will continue to be a focal point for community life for many years to come.
I look forward to another great games and wish all the competitors the very best of luck.
